Pastoral Counseling

A faith-based approach to counseling that integrates spiritual guidance with emotional and relational support to help individuals navigate life's challenges.

What is Pastoral Counseling?

Pastoral Counseling is the intentional integration of psychological and spiritual principles into the counseling experience to bring you hope, healing, and growth. As a Pastoral counselor, I am open about my faith, and clients generally choose pastoral counseling because they want Christianity at the center of counseling and want the assurance that I will approach mental health accordingly. I draw upon spiritual components such as the Bible, prayer, and spiritual gifts to point you to the truth of who God is and to guide you through your struggles from the understanding that you are made in the image of God.

As a Pastoral Counselor, What Can I Help With?

I offer soul care through faith-based Christian counseling, addressing numerous challenges that lead to emotional, psychological, and relational distress. I assist with problems such as marriage and family issues, relationship matters, anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and spiritual abuse, as well as personal growth and development. However, I do not handle severe mental health diagnoses, nor do I diagnose or treat mental health disorders (a referral will be made to a licensed counselor when such issues arise).
